Almotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh called on Wednesday the international community to support the current Somali government to build Somali state corporations.

In his speech to the 15th summit of Non-Aligned Movement- being held in Sharm El-Sheikh, president Saleh urged for urgent assistance for the Somali government to build and rebuild the state institutions /* in the African country as that would help to combat piracy and terror.

He said that the terrorism is still a serious challenge facing all world countries and require for gathering efforts as it threatens the international security and stability.

President Saleh also asked the international community to shoulder its responsibility toward suffering of the Palestinian people who are under the Israeli occupation and siege, and practice pressure on Israel to carry out the international resolutions related to the Arab-Israeli conflict in order to set up an independent Palestinian state and al-Quds as its capital in addition to withdraw of Israel from all Arab lands including Golan Heights of Syria and south of Lebanon.

He also called for supporting Sudan to achieve peace in Darfur apart from interference in the Sudanese internal affairs.

President Saleh affirmed important efforts to make the Middle East free from weapons of mass destruction, insisting on right of all to gain nuclear technology for peaceful uses.

He valued role of the movement to support the national liberation movements against the occupation, urging for key role for the NAM in reforming the United Nations, serving the peace issues, facing challenges of poverty, unemployment, terrorism, discrimination and impact of the global financial crisis.

President Saleh also stressed the importance developing mechanisms and nature of NAM work in the manner enabling it keeping pace with the contemporary age and in the way that would increase activity of the movement to contribute to reforming the United nations Organisation and enhance its capability of facing the challenges the member states are encountering and to serve issues of peace and combating terror and racial discrimination.
