Almotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on Wednesday Prince Andrew, Duke of York, in Jeddah city of Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations and cooperation fields between Yemen and the United Kingdom, in addition to the British investments in Yemen as well as possibilities to expand them to cover fields of oil, gas, minerals, tourism and others.

Saleh noted the important and deep relations of Yemen and the UK, and the British support for development efforts in Yemen.

For his part, Prince Andrew affirmed concern of the UK to reinforce its relations with Yemen in all fields, pointing out the British desire to expand investment in Yemen.

President Ali Abdullah Saleh had earlier arrived in the city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in response to an invitation extended by the Saudi Arabia monarch King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz to attend the ceremony of opening King Abdullah University for Technological Sciences.
