Almotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh attended on Wednesday the inauguration of King Abdullah University for Science and Technology.

The inaugural ceremony took place in the Saudi city of Jeddah where King Abdullah briefed the attendants including Arab and foreign leaders on the sections of the university that covers 36 million square metes and was built at a cost of $ 2.5 billion.

King and participating leaders walked to the ceremony hall and watched a film on the university implementation phases.

The university announced admissions to this year early this month, receiving about 400 students.

Three years form now, the number of students at the university will reach 12.000.

Its main goal is to qualify graduates to be able to find solutions for scientific and technical challenges.
