Almotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh, along with Vice President Abdu Rabo Mansour Hadi, attended on Saturday the speech ceremony which was held in the Capital Secretariat on the occasion of Yemenis anniversaries of revolutions of 26 September, 14 October and 30 November.

In the opening speech, President Saleh greeted the Yemeni people on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of 26 September Revolution, considering this revolution as a way for the Yemeni people from ignorance to knowledge.

He said that "there are many challenges we are still facing since the start of the 26 September Revolution but the will of the Yemeni people is bigger than any challenges."

Saleh indicated that what is currently taking place in Saada is an extension of the ignorance and Imamate era.

"The 6th war we are dealing with in Saada is imposed on us," President said, noting that "we do not want it but the Yemeni military institutions will stand in front of this rebellion in Saada districts and Harf Sufian."

Saleh said that al-Houthis are stationed in Harf Sufian as it is the main gate to Saada and blocked the way to deliver supplies and medicines to the victims, noting that this is not a regular war but it is a guerrilla war, or otherwise, it would have been ended since its start.

The President said, "As long as the homeland possesses a national military establishment offering a river of blood and everyday there is blood shed in Harf Sufian and in Saada to quell the sedition and we shall not retreat or back down absolutely, the sedition would increase our determination for defending the homeland."

The Yemeni people have opted for the political pluralism and, therefore, we practice it and will not give it up at all, President said, adding that democracy and political pluralism better emerged after the Yemeni unity as it allowed those parties under the table to see the light and started to express their opinions within the framework of the constitution and enforced laws.

President urged to get away from political cheating, saying "I know that there are some forces who want to see the country in an ordeal but Allah is always supporting those who are right and He will support us."

He made clear that the Yemeni people are facing three challenges; al-Houthis, Al-Qaeda and terrorism, and the national economy which is linked by the previous two challenges, saying "if the war in Saada ended as well as terrorism, the national economy will improve, but under these two challenges in addition to the world financial crisis the country's economy is still negatively affected.

Concluding his speech, he praised those who sacrificed themselves in the Yemeni revolutions for the sake of a stable and educated Yemen.
