Almotamar.net - Thirteen of the Houthi elements of terrorism and rebellion in Yemen were killed and tens were wounded in fighting with military units in Al-Kharab area at the time when a number of citizens from the area, whom the terrorists had displaced them from their houses, attacked the terrorists occupying the houses and places and killed three of terrorists.

A military source said armed forces and security troops confronted Sunday night repeated attack by the rebels on Shariq position and inflicted on the rebels heavy losses while two terrorists were killed in clashes with the army in Al-Qaham area.

The source said military units in Al-Safraa and Al-Mahathir launched a surprise attack on terrorist groups that were preparing to launch attacks on army and security positions, inflicting on them heavy losses in men and equipment.

While combing the area of Al-Maqash controlled fully by a military unit at an earlier time, the military source said a large quantity of weapons and ammunition of the rebels was found in addition to discovery of a number of hideouts the terrorist elements were using.

The source said that army units continued their advance to the north of Al-Maqash area and clearing it from terrorists and managed to defuse landmines and explosives planted by the terrorists on sides of roads and also took control of a passage the rebels were using to infiltrate for attacking army and security forces.
