Almotamar.net - SANAA- Personalities recently delegated by the Yemeni Congregation for Reform (Islah) have intensified their trips to some Arab Gulf States, either under excuse of performing Umrah pilgrimage or trade or visiting relatives living there.

Yemeni expatriates working in Saudi Arabia have affirmed that at least three personalities have met there yemeni tradesmen from the sons of Hadramout governorates living in the Kingdom were requested to donate for supporting the campaign of the Joint Meting Parties (JMP) candidate under consideration that he is one of their governorates sons but they refused the request by saying Bin Shamlan did not offer anything before to the residents of Hadramout, how would he present things to all of the Yemenis? that stance forced those elements to meet a group of yemeni workers, offering them a similar request in return for promises to improve their conditions in the Kingdom and grant them privileges the Saudi authorities had not offered them before in the case of supporting with money the JMP candidate and encouraging their families and relatives in Yemen to support him.

Yemeni expatriates confirmed that collecting donations from them in this way was not the first but it was preceded with campaigns for which the Islah recruited some elements that visited the Gulf States more than once and raised large sums of money from some Yemeni and non-Yemeni merchants. Then they contacted Yemeni workers who hardly obtain their everyday living and sent the rest to their families in Yemen. In addition, there are messages and telephone calls to heads of Yemeni communities there demanding them to urge the expatriates to donate under various subjects and provide them with bank accounts to deposit their donations. Then the sums are gathered for the benefit of the JMP candidates election campaign.
