By:almotamar.net - SANA'A- The Ministry of Endowments has accused Islah Party of using mosques for publicizing politician ideas and electoral campaigns.
In a statement to almotamar.net, deputy Minister of Endowments, Yayah al-Najjar said his ministry has received a number of reports over the past week from its offices throughout governorates, stating preachers and religious activist of the Islah are using mosques to publicize their election campaigns and call on people to change the situation by voting for their candidates in the presidential and local council elections.
Al-Najjar noted such preachers make people afraid of the reality and the miserable condition the country would reach in case the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP)'s presidential candidate was not elected.
Al-Najjar warned preachers violating religious oratory principles that strict measures will be taken against them and refer them to courts. He made it clear that the ministry is preparing files of preachers violating the rules in order to refer them to courts soon. He also called on all preachers to stick to the principles of religious oratory and not to defame the mosques' message.
Before launching the election campaigns, the Ministry of Endowment had ordered all of its offices to observe all violations on the part of preachers who try to use mosques for publicizing political ideas.
