Almotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on Thursday visiting Prince Andrew the Duke of York in the United Kingdom. Saleh and Prince Andrew discussed mutual relations between Yemen and Britain and means of enhancing and improving them. The two men tackled investment opportunities in Yemen and expanding trade and investment cooperation.

The meeting dealt with many regional and international developments.

The British prince reaffirmed his country's support to Yemen, its unity, stability and development, affirming desire to increase cooperation fields with Yemen.

President Saleh highlighted Britain's support to Yemen, its stability and progress. He hailed British support to the country in donors' conference held in London in 2006 and the cooperation with Yemen through the European Union.

Saleh re-welcomed British investments in fields of oil, gas, minerals, energy, water desalination, roads and other fields. He indicated that there are many investment opportunities in Yemen and that British investments will get Yemen's complete care and facilitations.

The meeting was attended by Vice President Abid Rabeh Mansour Hadi, Speaker of the parliament Yahya Ali al-Raie. Prime Minister Ali Mohammed Mujawar, Chairman of the Shoura Council Abdulaziz Abdul Ghani, a number of parliament and the Shoura members, military and security commands, businessmen and members of the Yemeni-British Friendship society.
