The Interior Ministry said intelligence information monitored in the past few days the boat from Hais Beis area of Somalia and on board of it a shipment of weapons and 12 sailors heading for the Yemeni coasts.

It clarified that security apparatuses in the coastal provinces of Aden, Taiz, Hudeida and Haja were watching the said boat and captured its with the persons on board of it. Security apparatuses had intensified their patrols near their coats to capture the boat and the weapons shipment it as carrying.

The Ministry indicated that its efforts resulted in seizing the owner of the boat in the area of Khokha, Hudeida province and sent him to be subjected to legal procedures on charge of smuggling weapons to Yemen.

Yemeni Coast Guard forces had arrested a fishing boat with 8 Somali persons offshore Aden Gulf on 13 of this month. The sources told Almotamar.net that forces of Coast Guard found in the captured boat 2 RPK pieces and another number of different weapons.

The sources said the boat was suspected because it bore no clear numbers and that it was possibly used for piracy operations due to finding a ladder used specially for climbing up on ships.
