Almotamar.net - Yemeni Planning and International Cooperation Undersecretary for the sector of studies and economic prospects confirmed Thursday capability of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states of granting Yemen 20% of workforce working in sectors of trade, restaurants, hotels, maintenance and building and construction, i.e. accommodating 900 thousand Yemeni workers.

Dr Mohammed al-Haweri said this labour can be taken in those sectors , which reaches in the GCC states, except the Emirates and Qatar, t around 4.5 million workers , 63% of total incoming labour working at present .

In a working paper on Yemen accession to the GCC presented to Yemeni-Gulf relations conference concluded its meetings in Sana�a on Wednesday; al-Haweri pointed out that labour of limited skill represents those who hold a certificate les than secondary, or read and write or illiterate.

Al-Haweri pointed out that indicators of demand for preset and future labour show the existence of surplus in foreign labour and consequently multi opportunities are available for accommodating the Yemeni labour, skilled and of limited skill, in various sectors.
