Field reports have mentioned a number of those violations, most notably when JMP activists use mosques for partisan interests, form groups to tear posters of the General People's Congress (GPC)'s presidential candidate.
In the Capital Secretariat, various sources have told almotamr.net that the Islah preachers go on violating the election law, Election Publicity Guide, and the agreement of principles as they use mosques for publicizing election propaganda, and deliver speeches that incite people against the GPC and its candidates.
Likewise, in Taiz governorate, they make use of mosques for election publicity. In al-Mahweet governorate, they use mosques for their partisan interests as they deliberately attack the achievements realized during Ali Abdullah Saleh's reign.
In Hadramout governorate, the preacher of al-Shuhada mosque has deliberately described military and police members as "individuals working towards offending people".
In Sana'a governorate, the JMP, especially the Islah Party, render mosques partisan meetings to spread rumors and mislead people.
In al-Baidha governorate, still Islah preachers promote their presidential candidate and candidates for local council elections. A field report stated in Dhamar governorate Islahi preacher Abdu Saber (in constituency 203, center H) instigated prayers against the GPC's candidates.
Islah members of Ibb governorate continue using the Friday prayer sermons to speak of politics and instigate people's emotions against the GPC's candidate.
In Hajjah governorate, member of Islah leadership Faraj Yahya Nasser Rashid in al-Jumaimah district used the mosque to speak of election publicity and tear up the GPC's presidential candidate.
In al-Hudeidah governorate, JMP elements have torn the posters and photos of the GPC's presidential candidate in Kamaran, Bajel and al-Hakouk districts.
Meanwhile, JMP elements of Hadramout governorate have torn the photos of the GPC's presidential candidate in Broum and Mayfa' districts, in addition to putting the posters of the JMP's presidential candidate over those of the GPC.
Local sources in Sana'a governorate, moreover, told almotmar.net that the JMP, in unprecedented steps, have formed specialized groups at the level of districts to tear up the posters an photos of the GPC's presidential candidate and candidates for the local council elections. Ahmed Abdullah al-Sahmi is just a case in point. He tore the photos of the GPC's presidential candidate and put other photos in place of those bearing the GPC's electoral symbol.
In Dhamar governorate, likewise, Islahi members in constituency (207) have torn up the photos of the GPC's presidential candidate, in addition to violating the Election Publicity Guide.
