By:almotamar.net - SANA'A- Mohammed al-Materi, head of the election campaign for the independent presidential candidate Ahmed al-Majeed, decided to suspend al-Majeedi's campaigns as the Supreme Commission for Elections and Referendum (SCER) refused to pay the campaign's allowances.
"Al-Majeedi has received only 8 million riyals out of 25 million riyals approved by the Parliament. The SCER still puts off paying the rest of the sum," al-Materi told almotamar.net.
According to al-Materi, the money spent on al-Majeedi's campaigns has amounted to 15 million riyals till now.
It was decided that al-Majeedi would hold a rally in Taiz governorate tomorrow. Article (72) of the election law states that a presidential candidate is to hold one electoral rally in each of the 21 governorates, including the Capital Secretariat
