Almotamar.net - In its weekly meeting on Tuesday chaired by Prime Minister Dr Ali Mohammed Mujawar has approved a draft presidential decree on establishing Shabwa University, presented by the ministry of higher education and scientific research. The cabinet directed on finalizing the legal procedures necessary for issuing it.

The fourth article of the draft resolution stipulates the annexation of higher education in Shabwa province to the university with emphasis on possibility of establishing colleges and scientific centres bi the university within the province.

On the other hand the cabinet meeting today approved a memorandum of understanding signed by the ministry of electricity and energy and the Yemeni company for industrial investment and its partners for building a gas power station in Mareb with a capacity of 400 megawatt via a mixed company to be established for this purpose. The cabinet asked the ministers of legal affairs and the electricity and energy to completer the necessary legal measures.
