Almotamar.net - Yemen Ministry of Interior said Sunday it had directed coastguard police and security apparatuses in the coastal provinces of closing the main waterways to those infiltrating into the Yemeni territories from the Horn of Africa region.

The Ministry made it clear that the measure it has taken is part of efforts exerted by Yemen in preventing terrorist elements in the Horn of Africa to infiltrate into the Yemeni territories especially after announcement of Mujahidin Youth organisation of its intention to support the terrorist elements of al-Qaeda in Yemen.

The Yemeni Interior Ministry has also said that security authorities have put the Somali refugees present in Yemen under their watch so that to prevent terrorist elements from using the refugee card for reaching the Yemeni territories.

It has affirmed on its website that commitment of the Yemeni government to its duties concerning the Somali refugees has not changed and that it gloves them the same previous care and attention and keen to provide the suitable living conditions for their residency on its territories.
