Almotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Wednesday returned home from a two-day Gulf trip, paying state visits to both of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

President Saleh met the Saudi monarch king Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz and in Bahrain the President met King Hamad Bin Isa Bin Salman, Prime Minister Khalifa Bin Isa Bin Salman and the Bahraini Crown Prince Salman Bin Hamad Bin Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa and discussed the bilateral relations with each state as well as means to strengthen cooperation on all fronts.

Saleh's talks with leaders of the two GCC members also brought up the latest regional and international developments, with the leaders agreeing to have a united Arab voice to face all challenges facing the region.

Arriving in Sana'a from the first trip to the Gulf this year, Saleh said that the trip was productive, saying: I touched enthusiasm from both leaderships to strengthen mutual ties and cooperation with Yemen.

He also appreciated the stances of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain supporting Yemen's unity and stability.

Saleh's trip came few days ahead of the 27-28 February Riyadh Conference that will discuss the best ways to disburse aid to Yemen as well as urging donors to do more to help the country.

A summit meeting was held in the Bahraini capital Al-Manama on Wednesday convening President Ali Abdullah Saleh and King Hamad Bin Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa of Bahrain.
