Almotamar.net - Chairman of the Malaysian Chamber of Commerce Sayid Ali Al-Attas said the Malaysian companies should not neglect Yemen because exporting markets in it are still diversified.

Hew has affirmed in a Yemeni �Malaysian festival that was held that Yemen possesses a strategic location near he oil -producing countries in the Gulf and the African markets. Aden seaport that extends along the southern coasts of the Arabian Peninsula is considered one of the most important waterways in the world.

He added there is a large group of products that Malaysia can export to Yemen and vice-versa. He said the Yemeni government has founded a suitable environment for private sector to invest in it for enhancement of social and economic growth.

Al-Attas pointed out that the industrial sector in Yemen expects a growth by 6.6% in 2011 due to availability of raw material and cheap workforce, adding that there are investment opportunities available in all sectors from assembling and manufacturing heavy and other industries.

He said the volume of bilateral trade exchange of the two countries grew steadily over the past decades.

He has affirmed that holding the festival that develops the bilateral relations and enhances trade relations between the two countries would Malaysian businessmen to explore trade opportunities and possibilities of network connection.

He pointed out that the Malaysian chamber of commerce would be the Malaysian trade gate to Yemen and investment opportunities in Yemen.
