Almotamar Net - The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) has said it may be  forced to change its programmes and priorities and that is according to the sharp shortage in funding which in turn may affect hundreds of thousands of migrants inside Yemen especially 250 thousand people with migrated due to the war in Saada.

Almotamar.net - The UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) has said it may be forced to change its programmes and priorities and that is according to the sharp shortage in funding which in turn may affect hundreds of thousands of migrants inside Yemen especially 250 thousand people with migrated due to the war in Saada.

A statement obtained by Almotamar.net mentioned about the lack of suitable shelter and providing sheltering supplies represents a source of concern in particular and that shelter needs for the refugees living in camps or urban areas (most of them from the Horn of Africa) are not being met in addition to the refugees ability to sustain themselves and the UNHCR ability to support them is under a severe pressure.

The statement also indicated to the visit to Yemen by the tea, of the traditional donors from the governments of Canada, Finland, Germany, Italy , Ireland, Japan, Sweden and the United Kingdom last week , which was aimed at seeing closely he human situation in the country and without offering more support , the suffering of hundreds of thousands would be more worsened.

Over a week of field visits and holding a series of discussions with all those working in the humanitarian side and the refugees and the displaced, the team participated I drawing up a plan of the UNHCR for Yemen for 2011.

The UNHCR concluded its task at the planning workshop which it has held with the Yemeni government, other UN organisations and partners from non-governmental organisations as the workshop has shed light on the importance of following the cooperative approach in planning the responses to the humanitarian needs.
