Almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh received Sunday the Iraqi ambassador to Yemen Talal al-Ubaidi on the occasion of the expiry of his term of office as an ambassador of Iraq to Yemen.

President Saleh praised in the meeting the role played by the outgoing ambassador in serving the existing relations between the two Yemeni and Iraqi countries and peoples.

For his part the outgoing Iraqi ambassador has expressed his appreciation for the support and care he received from the President and the concerned sides in Yemen during his work in Yemen, affirming his pride in the distinguished bilateral relations of the two countries

On the other hand, President Saleh received also the visiting delegation of the Palestinian People�s Liberation Front led by member of the politburo and representative of the Front abroad Dr Mahir al-Tahir.

The delegation informed the President on developments of the Palestinian situations and the efforts for realizing the Palestinian-Palestinian reconciliation.

The meeting also touched on developments of the Arab situations in the light of preparations for holding the Arab summit in Libya late this month.

The President has confirmed Yemen�s stand supporting the issue of he Palestinian people and their right to establish their independent state on their national soil an its capital Al-Quds.
