By: almotamar.net - SANA'A- The General People's Congress (GPC)'s presidential candidate Ali Abdullah Saleh has got 67,416 voices out of 91,679 voices, which is equivalent to 73.53 percent in an electronic poll conducted by almotamar.net and ran for 47 hours.
The Joint Meeting Parties (JMP)'s presidential candidate Faisal Bin Shamlan came second, with 8,700 voices voting for him, that is 9.49 percent. Yassin Abu Saeed Noman, candidate of the National Council Opposition Parties, came third, with 8,460 voices, equivalent to 9.23 percent. Independent candidate Fathi al-Azab came fourth, with 6.964 voices, equivalent to 7.60 percent; and independent candidate Ahmed al-Majeedi ranked last with 139 voices equivalent to 0.15 percent.
Commenting on the results of the e-poll, Abdul-Rahaman Ash-Shami, lecturer at Faculty of Mass Media, Hudeidah University, said the voices which Saleh got represent less than the actual number as there are a few internet users.
"Without being biased, I describe such ratings as a mirror for Saleh's electoral rallies, which I consider as a daily demonstration that reflects unanimous voting for him," he added. The huge crowds that attended Saleh's electoral rallies reflect their love for him, he noted. As for other candidates, Ash-Shami said voting for other candidates in the e-poll reflects the state of dissociation for the JMP.
