Almotamar.net, Saba - British Secretary of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Alistair Burt said on Sunday that the British government has allocated USD 150 million to support the development in Yemen.

This came in a meeting gathered here President Ali Abdullah Saleh with the British official, during which they reviewed a number of regional and international issues of common concern, especially with regard to Yemen's Friends Group, in addition to the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and means of boosting them in various areas.

The British official praised the level of the exiting cooperation between the two countries, confirming his country's support to Yemen's unity, security and stability.

He noted to Yemen's efforts in the field of combating terrorism, affirming Britain's support to these efforts and to the development and democracy in Yemen.

President Saleh valued the British support to Yemen in the fields of development and democracy and welcomed the British investments in Yemen, confirming that they would receive all care and interest by the State and the government so as to achieve the common interests
