By: almotamar.net - AL-HUDEIDAH- Hundreds of thousands of people in al-Hudeidah governorate attended Wednesday the electoral rally of the General People's Congress (GPC)'s presidential candidate Ali Abdullah Saleh.
Below is the speech of Saleh delivered in al-Hudeidah rally:

Brothers and sisters of al-Hudeidah governorate,
Greetings,
The sun is reflected on you faces, but our people get relaxed when it goes down the sea with its heat. Our people and masses will get satisfied when the sun sets in the sea.
Brothers and sisters,
A few months ago, we celebrated in this yard, and inaugurated several projects and achievements. There are still several projects underway, and will be inaugurated after the September elections.
Fellow people of Hudeidah,
This governorate, besides the rest of governorates, is padlocked in front of the hot sun, with the people's will, in favor of security, stability, and development.
I refused to run for presidency, but when I found that Tatars are destroying everything beautiful, including development, security, stability, unification, I accepted to run for presidency at the request of people and GPC. I accepted candidacy as I know very well the affliction of presidency: exalted and great tasks, but they [who don't know what responsibility is] don't know that such tasks are loss but not gain.

I have accepted candidacy and I shall go with you ahead in order to preserve unification, security, and stability.
You have come from all sides to express your views. The Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) paid YR 300,000 for each constituency. We didn't give any riyal to any citizen like them, as we don't rig public money. What the JMP are doing is prepaid, but I didn't disclose this matter. I shall disclose it later on. Where do such funds come from? They are used to conspire against the state. I shall disclose them later on.
The JMP don't want to see security, nor stability. They, rather, want to divide the country and render it sultanates and small countries. This they aim at, feeling malice toward everything achieved on 22 May, 1990. They are now boarding the waves of freedom and democracy, misusing the political speech, feeling irresponsible. We want them to feel responsible in their speeches and take into account people's feelings, without provocation and challenge. Here is the reply of people to the JMP' provoking speech.
