Jamil al-Jadabi - SANAA- Local sources at the Capital Secretariat said a candidate for e local councils elections scheduled in Yemen on 20th September has intentionally registered his name in elector lists in a round four election centers in an apparent violation of election and referendum law and form of unprecedented crime.
The sources clarified to almotamar.net that Husam Ali Abdulwali Hussein al-Hallaly, a candidate for the Yemeni Congregation for Reform Party (Islah) “The Muslim Brotherhood Movement in Yemen” put his name in the center (H) of the constituency (204), district of Thowra, governorate of Thamar (central Yemen). He has repeated his name at the same time in the center (Z) in the local constituency (17), Al-Thowra district in the capital.
Article 135 of the law of elections and referendum stipulates the punishment any one intentionally registers his name in elector register at more than one election post by three-month imprisonment and deletion of his name from elector registers and he will be deprived of practicing registration and nomination of a parliamentary or local session.
