Almotamar Net - The government of Japan decided offering an amount of $ 100.396 for financing a project for improving the system of supplying waters in Al-Shajan valley of Al-Hazm district, the province of Al-Jawf. The support comes as part of the Japanese programme titled “ Grants offered to of human security “ aimed at supporting  small private projects in areas related to basic needs such as health, water  and basic education in the developing countries.

Almotamar.net - The government of Japan decided offering an amount of $ 100.396 for financing a project for improving the system of supplying waters in Al-Shajan valley of Al-Hazm district, the province of Al-Jawf. The support comes as part of the Japanese programme titled “ Grants offered to of human security “ aimed at supporting small private projects in areas related to basic needs such as health, water and basic education in the developing countries.
The agreement was signed in Sana’a on Monday by the Japanese ambassador to Yemen and head of Al-Sallam and Development Society.

It is worth mentioning that the beneficiaries of the project in
Al-Shajan area amount to 900 people in 11 villages in addition to 150 people from those migrated from Saada, living in dry areas scarcely having pure drinking water. This project is composed of equipment for water desalination and would provide sure drinking waters to all the targeted villages.

The Japanese government has during the past Japanese fiscal year offered grant assistance to 18 projects in Yemen with a total amount of $ 1.6 million.
