Almotamar.net - Commander of Yemen Republican Guard forces, the honorary chairman of the society for caring and qualification of the physically handicapped Ahmed Ali Abdulla Saleh affirmed that the political leadership and all state institutions give care and attention to the segments of the handicapped in Yemen. They are also keen on qualifying them and involving them in work as one of their basic rights which are guaranteed in the constitution and laws and the government institutions have to implement stipulation of the laws regarding the care and qualification of the handicapped.

In a statement to almotamar.net following an Iftar (fast-braking) party given in Sana�a on Monday the care and qualification of the handicapped society Ahmed Ali indicated t the directives of the President of the Republic on allocating 5% of available jobs to the handicapped and called on the concerned parties to speed up carrying out those directives and finalizing the educational programme for the handicapped at different education stages.

He also urged continuation of plans and programmes aimed for training and qualification of the handicapped so that to be part of the society and active partners in the process of development. He added that would facilitate the process of incorporating the handicapped in the comprehensive education. Mr Saleh also called on government and non-governmental institutions, businessmen and professional institutes to support the handicapped and find job opportunities for them.

He also praised the achievements accomplished for the handicapped in the qualification and legislative aspects , calling on Care and Qualification of the Handicapped Fund to continue in its activities for meeting the needs of the physically handicapped and incorporating them in the society and also to consider the causes leading to increase in cases of handicaps and rise of its rates in Yemen so that the Fund can be able , along with concerned sides, for studying them and putting plans for carrying out social development and engaging the happed in them and supporting training and qualification programmes on the care for the handicapped.

He said the Society and Al-Sallam Centre for the care of the handicapped are two important tributaries of communication between the handicapped and their handicapped relatives and between the handicapped and his family as well as between the handicapped and the society.
