Almotamar.net - The Ethiopian Prime Minister , the leader of Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) Meles Zenawi met on Thursday the delegation of the Yemeni General People’s Congress party (GPC) headed by Assistant Secretary General for External Relations Affairs Sultan al-Barakani , currently on a visit to Ethiopia.

During the meeting the two sides discussed Yemeni-Ethiopian relations and ways of enhancing cooperation between the GPC and the EPRDF.

The GPC delegation expressed thanks and appreciation for the hospitality which the delegation received from officials of the EPRDF and affirmed the importance of developing and enhancing the relations of the two ruling parties in their countries.

Sultan al-Barakani had earlier delivered the GPC’s address to the opening meeting of the EPRDF’s 8th conference that started its meetings last Wednesday in the Ethiopian city Nazrit. Al-Barakani confirmed in his speech depth of the historical ties between the two peoples and that they would be on top of interest of the political leaderships in the two countries that would work on developing them in all areas.
