Almotamar.net - The Yemen foreign Minister Dr Abu Bakr al-Qirbi has said the ministerial meeting of the Yemen Friends Group (YFG) to be held in New York on Friday would discuss four tracks related to economy, issues of development, political and security aspects particularly antiterrorism and extremism.

In an interview to the Saudi newspaper Al-Madina, the Minister added the countries participating in the meting would be informed on what has been achieved by the Group�s two working teams since London meeting the beginning of current year as well as fixing a date for another meeting to be held in Riyadh where there would be a review of development programmes in Yemen and means of supporting them in addition to discussion the programme of reform and fighting terror and extremism in Yemen.

Al-Qirbi said the meeting would discuss the subject of supporting Yemen economically and developmentally and reviewing new mechanisms in the longer run to meet Yemen�s developmental needs with the aim of securing larger support from the donors and commitment to implement international and regional pledges for supporting efforts of development in Yemen.

Al-Qirbi indicated that there is Yemeni-Gulf coordination for guaranteeing success to the ministerial meeting of the Yemen Friends Group and through the preparations and enthusiasm shown by participants in supporting Yemen , making �us optimists in the meeting � and there are positive indicators that the meting would come out with results meeting ambitions and hopes of Yemen in its friends .

Minister al-Qirbi affirmed that the meeting of Yemen Friends Group in New York has big importance and ambitions and � we pin hopes on it for achieving the aspired for results including the establishment of a Fund for Supporting Development in Yemen and meting its economic , development and security needs and approving the ways guaranteeing qualification of Yemeni labour and opening international labour markets to it , especially the Gulf Cooperation Council states as well as fighting unemployment , extremism and terror , building Yemeni capabilities and approval of the programmes and activities that would be adopted and supported. �
