Almotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh said on Wednesday that the results of the two summits of Arab and Arab-African would strengthen Arab joint action and Arab-African joint cooperation.

The President made the statement upon his arrival to Hodeidah governorate after taking part in the Arab extraordinary summit and the 2nd Arab-African summit held in the Libyan city of Sirte and after his visit to France in reply to an invitation from the French President Nicolas Sarkozy.

President Saleh said that the Arab summit has opened up new horizons to launch the joint Arab action and to improve its mechanisms to realize the national goals.

"As I said in the Arab summit, all what we concern is to trigger the Arab joint action, under any name, to enhance the Arab nation's capacities to tackle the current challenges", the President said.

Speaking on the Arab-African summit, Saleh said it has "founded new bases for coordination and integration among Arab and African nations".

Concerning the President's visit to France, Saleh accented that it was fruitful, saying that the talks held between him and the French President, Prime Minister and a number of French officials would assist in deepening the bilateral relations and enhancing the mutual cooperation in various areas.

The president hailed the French supportive attitudes towards Yemen's unity, stability, development and democracy.

Such attitudes "reflect the deep-rooted relationship and friendship between Yemen and France", President Saleh said, affirming the keenness on advancing them forwards.
