Almotamar.net - Deputy Premier for Interior Affairs Sadeq Amin Abu Ras has emphasized Friday that the Yemeni government is careful about raising the level of health services and supporting health programmes to limit travelling abroad for treatment.

Those remarks came in his opening in Sana�a on Friday of activities of the Awareness Popular Day on the brain stroke organized by the Yemeni society for Neural Sciences on the occasion of the World Stroke Day.

Abu Ras pointed out the necessity of spreading social awareness on causes and factor of danger of the brain stroke as this has an effect in limiting the dissemination of this disease threatening thousands of people of permanent disability.

He has drawn the attention that local and world statistics on spread of this disease�s permanent disabilities would become economic and social burdens on the patients and their families and the society and the state as well.

Abu Ras has also urged the Ministry of Public Health and Population to give necessary attention and support to neural diseases and brain stroke and to build specialized centres for treatment of the stroke as well as supporting and encouraging training and rehabilitation of health cadres in this regard.
