Almotamar.net - The Specialized Penal Court in Yemen has decided Saturday appointing a lawyer to defend Anwar al-Awlaqi accused of instigating on killing foreigners in Yemen.

In the court hearing held Saturday for the trial of three defendants accused of forming an armed gang as part of al-Qaeda cells , the defendant Hisham Mohammed Mohammed Asim, charged of killing the French national , working for OMB Company, said the dispute between him and the victim was personal . He added that the confessions he gave to security apparatuses were under force.

The indictment had affirmed that the defendant killed the French national, working for the OMB Company, deliberately and taking advantage of his job as guard of the company. He had aimed his gun at the victim and killed him.

The indictment added that son as he was sure of killing the victim, the defendant went to the second floor where there was the second victim �British nationality� and opened fire on him with the intention of killing him but he failed in doing so because of the intervention of the company�s administration that rescued the victim as soon as the crime was committed.

The court then decided to postpone prosecution of the defendants until next Tuesday.
