Almotamar.net - Almotamar.net has learned from a government sources that the Yemeni Interior Minister General Mutahar Rashad al-Masri has issued a decision on establishment of a security Unit for the airports in Yemen.

The sources said the new unit is a security one specialized in airports security undertaking training and qualification cadres on highest security levels in the way guaranteeing enhancement of measures of protection of airports and airplanes against any sabotage and terrorist acts. Besides, the unit works on developing and upgrading security services and level of performance in the Yemeni airports.

The national committee for security of civil aviation, which is headed by the Minister of Transport Khalid Ibrahim al-Wazeer, had discussed in its latest meeting the measures related to organization regulation the unit of airports security, approved by the committee.
