Almotamar.net - The President of Yemen Ali Abdullah Saleh visited Wednesday a number of districts of the province of Taiz such as Al-Maaqir, Al-Mawsit and Al-Shamatin.

During his visits the President was received the officials, members of local councils, sheikhs and social personalities. The President inspected asked about conditions of the citizens in those districts and their requirements as well as exchanging congratulations with them on Eid Al-Adha.

The President also inspected the progress of work of a project of the road of Hoban-Quds al-Samsara �Al-Shamatin across Matran Mountain.

He has also got acquainted with water dams in those areas and affirmed the significance of expansion in building water dams and barriers for preserving rainfall waters and serving agricultural development .the President urged the local councils to double their efforts for serving issues of citizens and the follow-up implementation of projects and maintenance , indicating to development progress in those areas through services and developmental projects that have been finished there regarding building roads and the areas of health, education , electricity and communications.

The President gave his directives to the local councils to solve the citizen�s issues and meet the needs of their areas of projects within the frame of the annual plans of the local councils.
