Almotamar.net - An opinion poll has revealed that more than 92% included in the poll said they had casted their votes in previous elections with full freedom and without any pressures by anyone.

Around 60% of those polled who know the Supreme Commission for Elections (SCER) mentioned they are satisfied about its performance and 67% of them have affirmed the importance of international observation of elections in Yemen. The opinion poll conducted by the Yemeni Public Opinion Poll Centre (YPC) said 60% of the polled mentioned they would vote to any candidate affiliate of the party they support, about 36% would vote for any candidate if any of the family members is convinced in him and 12% only do not object the presence of a person with them at the polling cabin during the choosing of their candidate.

The opinion poll revealed that 56% knows that the legal age for voting is 18 years and above and 19% think they have the right to vote even if they were not registered in the elector reports.

About half of the polled sample do not see that the Yemeni Jews have the right to vote in the elections and the same percentage thinks of the right of the marginalized to nominate for the presidency of the republic, 58% see they have the right to nominate for the parliament and 63% affirm the right of the marginalized to nominate for local councils.

The opinion poll included more than one thousand persons from both sexes and from 12 Yemeni provinces and conducted on the period of 6-24 of last July.
