Almotamar.net - The Supreme Commission for Elections and Referendum (SCER) in Yemen holds a meeting next Sunday to discuss the reports to be presented by its various sectors for the preparation for the upcoming parliamentary elections to be held next April in addition to what is required of financial, technical and human potentials in accordance with results of the latest meeting of the commission.

The SCER in its meeting on Tuesday asked its general secretariat to prepare a draft budget for the stage of nomination, voting and vote counting related to the elections.

The SCER has in its earlier meeting chaired by Judge Mohammed Hussein Hayder al-Hakimi approved distribution of tasks of its sectors among its members according to the organizational regulation.

The present SCER is the first elections commission in Yemen composed of judges pursuant to the agreement of principles signed by the parties represented at the parliament and in response to demands of the opposition Joint Meeting Parties.
