Almotamar.net - The Vice-President (VP), the 1st Deputy Chairman of the General People’s Congress (GPC) Abid Rabu Mansour Hadi attended in Hajjah province Saturday the meeting of the leaderships of the GPC and parties of the National Democratic Alliance (NDAP) , attended by large number of political and social personalities,

In the meeting the VP conveyed greetings of President Ali Abdullah Saleh to the participants and through them to all sons of the province.

The VP expressed the pride whenever visiting the province as remembering its prominent role in building “ our republican present and contributed , along with the rest of provinces , to building our present and now it is contributing in building our future.”

He reminded about great and bloody events during which the sons, armed forces and security men fought bravely the battles in defence of the Yemeni Republic.

The advocates of sedition and sabotage wanted to return decades to the hated past by violating the law and raising slogans alleging a heavenly right to power such slogans the people discarded for decades through the eruption of the Yemeni revolution, the VP said.

He affirmed the will of the people scored victory over all the circumstances and ordeals and now the people are heading towards peace, stability and reconstruction in Saada and the areas that witnessed those events. Hadi has made it clear there are some elements in some districts in the southern provinces that tried to imitate what happened in Saada and work on blocking roads and sabotage acts, called the movement and calling for establishment of a regime called the Arab South but whoever wants to violate the national constants would find himself swimming against the current.

The goals of the Yemeni revolution and its national constants; the republican system, the national unity and the democratic pursuit proved to be constants gaining unanimity of the people of Yemen in the south and the north. He indicated that the terrorist acts have been doomed to failure and al-Qaeda cells sustained great defeats because of the Yemeni people vigilance. He said, “We are proceeding in finishing our national programme for the achievement of economic, social and cultural advancement and to complete the building the Yemeni state and achievement of stability and we have all confidence that we will in the coming years tangible successes.” The VP also indicated to the successes of Yemen in hosting Gulf 20 Championship by virtue the efforts of the political leadership and support of the sons of the provinces of Aden, Lahj and Abyan.

Hadi pointed out that Yemen faced many difficulties in the past years and it has overcome then due to the rally of the people masses behind the GPC, adding that better progress could have been realised, had the partners in the political life in the opposition, particularly the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) committed to what was agreed on and participated in the process of the change instead of the attempt to hinder the political life.

The VP added that,” The elections are the right to the people; neither we nor they have the right to replacing them by agreements meant for distribute shares in the politics and the wealth, as were their recent demands. Even if we respond to their right to the political partnership, as we do, but vial poll boxes. The people own the wealth and they alone have the right to make those who they trust to managing it. “

He called on the government to double the attention paid to education and higher education as they are the threshold to enter the age and progress of the public life and also called for the care for the youth generation.
