Almotamar.net - The Appeal Section at the Specialised Penal Court in Yemen has Tuesday fixed the 18 January 2011 a date to issue its judgment in the case of defendants Abdul Illah Hayder Shaie and Abdul Karim al-Shami.

At the hearing held today under chairmanship of Judge Radwan al-Nimr the representative of the prosecution Mohammed al-Shadadi asked giving the utmost punishments to the defendants Hayder and al-Shami for the proof of their involvement in working with al-Qaeda organization.

Al-Shadadi said the defendant Hayder had played pioneering and executive role through gathering information and photographing and determining sites of some sensitive installations so that there would be an easy access to them via al-Qaeda organisation.

Al-Shadadi added that the defendant al-Shami was receiving and copying the ciphered messages on the email ‘jamil’ and sending them to Amin al-Othmani , one of the terror elements in Mareb province.

He pointed to official documents through which the defendants acted. He said the allegations mentioned by defendant Hayder have been refuted by the prosecution legally and the prosecution proved relationship and connection of the two defendants with al-Qaeda organisation.
