almotamar.net - Reliable sources have disclosed sharp differences taking place among parties of the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) in the governorate of Thamar after the Yemeni Congregation for Reform (Islah) attempt to invest a sum of seven million riyals without the participation of the rest of the JMP partners in Thamar.

The sources indicated the differences aggravated following the electoral festival for the JMP candidate for the presidential elections Shamlan held recently in Thamar where the audience was tepid, unlike what was expected, given the sums allotted for the festival that amounted to 157 million riyals.
The differences that lately erupted among components of the JMP in Thamar were followed with exchange of accusations among parties of the bloc especially when 7 million riyals were discovered to be deposited to the Islah asset after the festival of Shamlan. The higher leadership of the JMP had earlier set that amount of money as wages for the committee in charge of preparing the festival...
The Islah has tried to justify its right to the sum claiming it had devoted its efforts to muster people to the festival and hire people from a number of nearby areas such as al-Baidha, Radaa, Ibb, Sadda, Nadira, Yarim and numbers from the capital and the city of Bajil. Islah added that that entailed financial dues.
Leaderships of other partners in the JMP want to share the seven million riyals and accused Islah of marginalizing their role and dominating all privileges, forgetting partnership in the JMP. A source in the JMP accused leadership of the Islah if discrimination between candidates of the rest parties regarding candidates of the local councils. The source threatened to disclose number cards condemning the Brotherhood of Yemen if they continued their policy of violations and exclusion.
JMP parties in Thamar had failed earlier to pressure Islah to withdraw its candidates nominated against candidates of the rest members for the local councils of the alliance. Those parties accused the Islah of nominating official and independent candidates against candidates of other partners in the JMP where the conflict is still going on between the Islah, YSP and Union of Peoples Forces over four local councils seats in each of Thamar, Al-Mnar and Maghrib Abs.
