Almotamar Net - The Specialized Penal court in Yemen on Tuesday ruled imprisonment of journalist Abdul Illah Shaie for five years after convicting him of dealing with al-Qaeda organisation and picturing sensitive areas and security installations and sending them to al-Qaeda.

Almotamar.net - The Specialized Penal court in Yemen on Tuesday ruled imprisonment of journalist Abdul Illah Shaie for five years after convicting him of dealing with al-Qaeda organisation and picturing sensitive areas and security installations and sending them to al-Qaeda.

In its sitting on Tuesday, chaired by Judge Radwan al-Nimr, the court also issued its sentence of 2 years in jail against Andul Karim al-Shami, condemned of his relationship with al-Qaeda.

The verdict stipulated that the two condemned persons are not allowed to leave Sana’a for two years after serving their term of imprisonment.
The court also approved the confiscation of all materials seized in possession of the convicted.
