Almotamar.net, Saba - A security source at Interior Ministry said on Sunday that Tawakul Karman, who heads the Women Without Chains Organization, was arrested Saturday under a warrant of the Public Prosecution.

Karman was arrested on charges of organizing unlicensed rallies and marches legally and incitement to commit acts of rioting and chaos and undermining the public social peace, the source added.

Investigation with Karman is taking place before referring her to the public prosecution for the completion of investigations and taking necessary legal actions, the source explained to Saba.

The source reiterated warning that any demonstration or march organized without following legal procedures and getting necessary approvals are prohibited by law, and the violators would be subject to legal accountability.
