Almotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh headed on Wednesday the meeting of the National Defense Council that discussed the latest developments in the country topped by the security situation and the efforts in modernizing the armed forces.

The council reviewed a number of security and military reports submitted by the security and military committees throughout the country that elaborated the efforts made by the authorities to preserve security and stability; the level of implementing training programmes and imposing the rule of law; and measures towards violations that harm the positive image of democracy and freedom in Yemen.

It stressed all should practice their rights according to the constitution, in a peaceful way and without violence, chaos, sabotage and lawbreaking.

Issues on the agenda were also discussed.
