Almotamar Net - The fourth ordinary session of the permanent committee of the General People’s Congress (GPC), the ruling party in Yemen was held in the capital Sana’a Sunday with participation of more than one thousand members from various districts of Yemen’s provinces. The session was chaired by President Ali Abdullah Saleh, the Chairman of the GPC. The GPC’s permanent committee session was held under the motto of “Together for enhancement of the comprehensive national alignment to safeguard the constitutional legitimacy, the peaceful transfer of power and to preserve the homeland’s unity, security and stability”

Almotamar.net - The fourth ordinary session of the permanent committee of the General People’s Congress (GPC), the ruling party in Yemen was held in the capital Sana’a Sunday with participation of more than one thousand members from various districts of Yemen’s provinces. The session was chaired by President Ali Abdullah Saleh, the Chairman of the GPC. The GPC’s permanent committee session was held under the motto of “Together for enhancement of the comprehensive national alignment to safeguard the constitutional legitimacy, the peaceful transfer of power and to preserve the homeland’s unity, security and stability”

The session participants stood for one minute silence for the souls of democracy martyrs.

The GPC Secretary General and Vice-Chairman of the party Abid Rabu Mansour Hadi presented his report to the session in which he reviewed the process of dialogue with the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) and the current political crisis . he has also reviewed the initiatives and concessions presented to parties of the JMP for the sake of sitting at the dialogue table to address the issues and differences with a national responsible spirit and in the manner that avoids the country a sedition and guaranteeing its safety, security, stability and the social peace.

The Head of the ministerial body and the caretaker government Dr Ali Mohammed Mujawar presented, for his part, a brief account of the most prominent achievements of his government during the past period and which it committed to before the parliament, as well as a package of the national reforms in economic, financial, administrative areas and the good governance.

More than 50 members of the GPC took part in interruptions touching on the issues the political arena is witnessing and role of the GPC members in this regard.
