Almotamar Net - Sana’a-An official security source in the Interior Ministry said 14 security men got injured due to attack and throwing stones by groups of participants in a legally unlicensed demonstration staged by the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) in the capital on Sunday in which thousands of sit-inners in front of the Sana’a University gate participated.

Almotamar.net - Sana’a-An official security source in the Interior Ministry said 14 security men got injured due to attack and throwing stones by groups of participants in a legally unlicensed demonstration staged by the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) in the capital on Sunday in which thousands of sit-inners in front of the Sana’a University gate participated.

The source added that the demonstration which started from the sit-square walked a number of streets and accompanied by acts of riot and chaos. The source clarified that that the demonstrates attacked a number of treading shops and private properties, including the Libyan Centre and a restaurant in the crossing of Baghdad street with Algiers street where they attacked and completely smashed the glass font and then stormed it and destroyed its contents.

The source added that after the demonstrators left the restaurant they continued their way towards the southern Al-Siteen Street nearby the garden close to Apollo Exhibition and during their passing in that area there was a group of citizens. Security men were keen to separate between the demonstrators and the citizens and tried to convince hem to return to the sit-in square but they did not respond to that and started throwing stones at the security men causing the in jury of 14 of them.

The source added that riot police were forced to disperse the demonstrators so that to stop riot acts and prevention of a sedition taking place between demonstrators and c citizens, using tear gas bombs.
