Almotamar.net - Sana’a-The Yemeni Journalists Syndicate (YJS) in Yemen has Wednesday condemned attacks on Yemeni woman journalists and activists at the ‘Change Square ‘ in Sana’a by the Security Committee and soldiers of the 1st Armoured Division during their participation in a woman march last Saturday.

Press editors Jamila Ali Rajaa, Huda al-Attas, Aewa Abdeh Othman and Widad al-Badawi came under aggression of violent beating by persons from the Security Committee and soldiers from the 1st Armoured Division and confiscated their mobile phones and cameras while they were taking part in the march.

The YJS has denounced that condemned outrageous dangerous event especially that the attackers are from those entrusted with protection of the sit-inners.

The YJS calls on the Attorney General to give his directives for investigation into the incident and arrest the perpetrators and refer them to judiciary to receive just punishment.

The YJS has also held the command of the 1st Armoured Division and the Organisation Committee responsible for that attack.
