Almotamar.net - Sana’a-The General People’s Congress (GPC) condemned on Friday the crimes that targeted a number of armed forces men in provinces of Mareb, Lahj, Abyan and Hajjah and caused the killing of 30 or wounding around 40 soldiers.

An official source at the General Secretariat of the GPC has expressed strong condemnation of the GPC of those terrorist aggressions by elements from al-Qaeda organisation, the armed militias belonging to Joint Meting Parties, especially the Islah party “Moslem Brotherhood” in Yemen and their allies from outlaw elements.

Twenty soldiers were killed and more than 19 others wounded in two ambushes; the first carried out by al-Qaeda element s and the second by elements of the JMP in the province of Mareb. Three soldiers were killed in an attack by the Islah and JMP militias on a security checkpoint in Hajjah, six soldiers were killed in attack by outlaw gunmen in Lahj and one soldier killed by al-Qaeda elements in Abyan.

The source considered those terrorist crimes as a reflection of the coordination and alliance between elements of al-Qaeda organisation and parties of the JMP and outlaw elements. The source has held the JMP responsible or these terrorist crimes, which come I coincidence with intensive political and media campaigns against the military and security establishment for a long time.

The GPC source has called on civil society organisations and all political forces to reject hose crimes and condemn them and to stop all forms of incitement against members of the armed forces and the security, calling the attention to the danger of this criminal pursuit and its dangers on security and stability of Yemen.

The source demanded security authorities and local authorities to hunt down perpetrators of those crimes and arrest them and refer them to justice to receive the deterrent punishment.
