Almotamar.net - Sana’a– The Parliament has resumed on Wednesday its activities chaired by Parliament Speaker Yahya al-Raie.

The parliament issued a statement condemning the Iranian interferences in the Bahraini affairs, which is witnessing protests of sectarian nature; the Gulf states accuse Iran of instigating them.

The parliament considered that interference as infringement of sovereignty and violation of the international law. The parliament move came after listening to a letter of the Arab Parliament in this respect.

On the other hand, Deputy Head of the General People’s Congress (GPC) parliamentary bloc Yasser al-Awadhi drew the attention to the necessity of issuing a statement by the parliament informing the people that the parliament is still valid according to article 65 of the constitution which is considered existent as long as elections are not held.

According to the constitutional article it was supposed balloting for the parliament seats to be held on Wednesday 27 April 2011.

On the other hand a parliamentarian has called for elections of the parliament presidency body and standing committees in the parliament due to the end of their terms.
