Almotamar.net - Sana’a-The General People’s Congress (GPC) and its allies the National democratic Alliance Partied (NDAP) have condemned the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) crime of pushing their gunmen and some of the misled youth to attack the youth staging sit-in in Al-Thawra Sport City in Sana’a and the public and private properties.

A statement issued by the GPC and the NDAP on Wednesday said the sabotage acts urged by the JMP refute allegations of peaceful struggle with which the JMP drawl and are part of the continual escalation by those parties for committing acts of violence and spreading chaos and damaging people’s interests and properties.

The GPC denounced the attack by the JMP elements on the youth having a sit-in inside the yards of Al-Thawra Stadium and opening fire and throwing incendiary bombs on the sit-inners, with backing up by militias belonging to the 1st armoured division that caused setting fire to a number of the youth campsites inside the stadium and the injury of more than 300 of the youth sit-in.

The statement added that the JMP aim by practicing those acts to cause more casualties in order to abort the initiative of the brothers I the states of the Gulf cooperation Council (GCC) for resolving the crisis in Yemen.

The statement of the GPC and the NSAP has emphasised adherence to the GCC initiative and their positive dealing with it for ending the crisis and achieving security and stability and removal of all phenomena of tension, security instability and acts violating the law.

The source has held the JMP responsible for the violence, chaos and acts violating the law and the consequent fall of victims.

The source asked the reason why made those elements to move from the square of sit-in to the Al-Thawra Sport city to attack the youth staging their sit-in there and why do leaderships of the JMP insist on attacking citizens and public and private buildings and properties and why they do not express their opinions peacefully in the squares of sit-in instead of committing acts of aggression on others in an intention of shedding blood and killing?

Does not that reveal the ill intentions of those and their obvious attempts to drive the homeland to sedition and conflict? The source queried.

The GPC statement also demanded security authorities to perform their duty in facing such acts and, protect public and private properties and application of the law of demonstrations and marches to prevent repetition of such acts damaging interests of the homeland and the citizens.
