Almotamar.net - Sana’a-President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Thursday held a meting with a number of woman leaderships from the Youth Movement for Course Correction , who have expressed stances of the Movement regarding a number of issues and developments which concern Yemen and the process of reforms, in addition to the initiatives and efforts t come out of the crisis caused by the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) and its consequences of climates of tension, congestion and negative ramifications on interests of the homeland and the citizens.

The women condemned the aggressions committed by elements belonging to the parties of the JMP on Wednesday on the youth staging a sit-in Al-Thawra Sport City which resulted in the wounding of more than 300 of the youth supporting the constitutional legitimacy, security and stability, in addition to attacking a number of public and private properties.

They indicated that this incident disclosed for the people and the foreign public opinion the hostile intentions for bloodshed, killing and leading the homeland to sedition. The woman leaderships also demanded speeding up investigation into that ugly event by the prosecution and to try those who caused it. They said that crime goes beyond the democratic right to peaceful expression of the pinion, to the committing of sabotage acts.

The women have also asked the President to stop offering concessions and to appeal to the people the owner of the genuine interest in democracy and in all that is related to their affairs.

They pointed out that the Yemeni women will not hesitate in standing by the homeland, the constitutional legitimacy, security and stability and confronting all those tampering with the homeland and citizens security.

The President talked to the woman leaderships and praised the great role of the Yemeni woman. The President said, “The Yemeni woman has proved her high patriotic awareness and feeling and her moral and allegiance to the homeland and great keenness on the homeland and its security, stability, unity and constants.”

The president emphasised interest in the woman and granting her the broadest opportunities for taking part in the political and public life in the march of building the homeland.

President Saleh said,” The woman is the mother, the sister, the wife and the daughter, “pointing out to the imperfect view to the woman by some extremist political forces and dealing with her as just goods mustered for voting in elections as just voters for benefiting politically from her.

He added, “ We appreciate the woman and look at her with respect and encourage her for more of opportunities of participation in the march of the homeland ,” affirming that he has listened to what was presented by some of them of opinions and promised to take their positive remarks into consideration.
