Almotamar.net - Sana’a-well-informed sources have Thursday expected that the General People’s Congress (GPC) and the National Democratic Alliance Parties (NDAP) would send a high-level delegation to the Saudi capital Riyadh to sign agreement on resolving the current political crisis in Yemen, presented as a project by the brothers in the states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) within the framework of the GCC initiative. It is expected that invitation will be extended for signing it in the Saudi capital Riyadh next Monday.

The sources added that the GPC and NDAP have welcomed the GCC initiative and announced they deal with it as an integral system not liable to division and selectivity.

The source denied reports that the agreement would be signed by President Ali Abdullah Saleh. The source said a delegation from the GPC and the NDAP would head for Riyadh to sign the agreement as it is between the GPC and its partners and the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) and its allies.

The source emphasized the necessity of commitment to the principles and executive measures included in the draft agreement with regard to removal of elements of tension politically and security, pointing out that it means commitment by the JMP and its allies to removing causes of congestion through ending sit-ins and stopping demonstrations and all acts of sabotage and rebellion, blocking roads and attacking public and private installations and properties.

The source has shown cautious optimism concerning response of the parties of the JMP to signing the agreement as an integral step and commitment to its contents. The source viewed that the JMP’s continuation in escalation acts of chaos, violence, destruction and fomenting by some of its leaderships for such acts, as what happened on Wednesday of attacking the sit-inners inside the Al-Thawra Sport City and destruction of some public and private installation, disclose their ill intention in seeking for aborting the initiative and their planning in continuing in the cop on democracy and constitutional legitimacy.

Concluding his statement , the source expressed his hope in the JMP and its allies response to sign the agreement and commitment to what it includes in the way preparing the convenient atmospheres to achieve the national accord , come out of the current political crisis and opening a new chapter to end differences , achieving reconciliation and accord and partnership to keep Yemen away from seditions and preserve the homeland’s security and its gains and push forward the process of development and democracy.
