Almotamar.net - Sana’a- Vice President and the first Vice Chairman of the General People’s Congress (GPC) Abed Rabou Mansour Hadi on Monday presided over a joint meeting of the GPC’s General Committee and the cabinet.

The Vice President addressed he meeting and informed it that he had communicated on phone yesterday evening and today morning with President Ali Abdullah Saleh , affirming that the President health condition is in great improvement and recovery and that he would be back home in the following days.

Mr Hadi also confirmed that the homeland is in good condition because the Yemeni state is based on firm foundations as it has been built by President Saleh and with him all the patriots who are sincere to their homeland and the constitutional vales and principles and the legitimate aspirations of the Yemeni people and that the Yemeni people and their armed forces and security would remain the effective and growing power that guard all the accomplishments and gains achieved. He added that all the central and local institutions of the state are continuing in performing their responsibilities as much as the can despite the graveness of challenges and dangers of the acts of sabotage and chaos the state is facing.

Hadi has also urged all officials of the state especially the executive authority and the government on continuing their giving, discipline and production in serving the people and caring for their interests.

The Vice President also reviewed results of his contacts and meetings with officials in sister and friendly countries who closely follow up developments of the situations in Yemen. He informed the meeting on the decision that have been taken regarding the committees working at both central and local levels in the security and economic and other areas.

The meeting condemned the crime of the attack that targeted President Ali Abdullah Saleh and the senior officials of the state and considered it an unprecedented criminal act. The meeting considered the terrorist attack as escalation of the cop attempts on the constitutional legitimacy which had begun for a log time and increased via attempts of riding the wave of youth sit-ins and taking advantage of them by the coup forces and outlaw gangs and their alliance with forces of extremism and terror which worked on arousing chaos, destruction , violence and attacking and looting government buildings as well as practicing killing against security men , armed forces in many of Yemen’s provinces.

The meting also denounced and regretted the statements by leaders of the Joint Meeting Parties that tied to exploit the painful incident that shook feelings of the Yemeni people by unleashing statements having no relationship to ethics or politics through dealing with the crime as if a political victory for those forces.

The meeting hailed the Yemeni people, all members and cadres of the GPC and its allies in parties of the National democratic Alliance, the national social and mass forces, including the civil society organisations that firmly stood in the face of the coup attempts against the constitutional legitimacy.

The meeting praised the heroic stands of the armed forces and the security for preserving unity, security and stability of the homeland and the people’s democratic and development gains and facing acts of terror, chaos and destruction and chasing the outlaws and aggressors on citizens. And hailed their role in clearing government buildings from armed gangs in Al-Hasaba district.

The meeting highly valued the brotherly stands of brothers in Saudi Arabia; king, government and people, that prove depth of ties between the two peoples, especially the human stances in the circumstances in which Yemen is passing.

The meting studied a number of reports on different security, political and economic situations as well as the preliminary report on the crime of attacking Al-Nahdain Mosque and affirmed the necessity of speeding up completion all procedures related to investigations. The meeting also affirmed the necessity of maintaining the ceasefire and commitment to ending all armed phenomena in accordance with decisions of the security committee and the agreement made in this regard.

The meeting emphasised that the GPC believes that Yemen is in need of deep reforms in which participate all of the political and youth forces without exception so that to keep Yemen away from civil war .
