Almotamar.net - Sana’a – Vice President abed Rabou Mansour Hadi on Monday presided over a joint meeting of the General Committee of the General People’s Congress (GPC) and the cabinet and the General Secretariat of the GPC.

At the beginning of the meeting the Vice President assured the meeting on the positive health case of President Ali Abdullah Saleh and all officials of the constitutional bodies’ heads and the officials injured in the criminal attack on the President inside Al-Nahdain Mosque at the presidential House. He clarified that all of them health is progressing for the best and in big improvement, praying God for their quick recovery.

The Vice President also talked on his local, regional and international contacts and consultations and meetings. Explaining the nature of meetings with Joint Meeting Parties and various parties of opposition , including elite of the sit-inner youth.

Hadi has also put the meeting in the picture of all the measures and arrangements, including the formation of a committee for ceasefire, driving out gunmen out of the capital and calming down stances and congestions that that result the spirit of revenge.

Hadi said the armed forces and security are capable to control fully but it is the wisdom of prevention of Yemeni blood and keeping the homeland away from what affects it at present or in the future and the work is for the future and restoration of the citizens’ confidence. .

The Vice President pointed out it is unacceptable for the state and the government to see suffering of the people from crises of oil products, gas and different people’s needs without taking resolute decisions, calling on all responsible sides to activate the laws that hold accountable and punish those who hinder transporting of oil productions and gas and punishing those that attack electric power installations.

The Vice President stressed that all in the state and government, the civil society, social personalities and sheikhs and notables are demanded to stand before their national conscience and their humane and moral responsibilities in regard with what the society is suffering.

Of joining forces and have the sense of national responsibility at the present circumstances.

At the conclusion of his address the Vice President clarified that the armed forces and the security have registered great heroic stands in facing the groups of terrorists from al-Qaeda organisation who tried to fish in troubled waters and choosing the town of Zanjbar as capital for their terrorist ideas and acts but the armed forces and security taught them hard lessons, killing and arresting large number of them.

At the top agenda of the meeting was discussion of the efforts for providing oil products and solving the problem of electricity and waters and what the electric system is coming under acts of sabotage and attacks by elements hostile to the people and the homeland the ways for protecting it as well as suggesting solutions to address the security problems carried out by armed elements violating the law and order.

The meeting hailed the heroic acts of the armed forces and security in their operations against the dangerous terrorist acts committed by al-Qaeda organisation, especially in the provinces of Abyan and Lahj. The meeting condemned all criminal acts committed according to sabotage plan against the Yemeni people and their security, stability, living and providing of public services.

The meeting carried out detailed discussions on all issues and subjects on its agenda, especially the crisis of oil products and gas, electric power, food materials and situations of migrants in the provinces of Lahj and Abyan due to the fighting with the terrorist elements of al-Qaeda organisation
