Almotamar.net - Sana’a- The Special envoy of the United Nations Secretary General to Yemen Gamal Bin Omar has held a press meeting in Sana’a on Monday where he reviewed the efforts exerted by delegation of the United Nations in the framework of good offices for bringing closer viewpoints between parties of the current crisis.

In the open meeting the Advisor to the UN Secretary General has expressed his regret for the danger of the situation in Yemen of which he said it threatens the security and peace at both regional and international levels.

He pointed out that he felt a genuine desire by the Yemeni parties for overcoming the current situation and coming out with a solution of the problem.

Bin Omar has also emphasised that the transitional stage is not possible at the current time without ending the pending issues and under absence of a political will among those who desire for the solution.

Bin Omar added that the crisis has affected the humanitarian situation in Yemen, economically and in security and left a great suffering, indicating that he would convey the image to the UN Security Council.

The UN envoy has stressed that solution of this crisis is hostage of the Yemenis themselves and the solution would not come from outside , calling the attention of no existence of a new initiative or suggestions from the UN Secretary General , denying here are ideas for holding any dialogues between the political parties in Yemen abroad.

He ha clarified that he has not stated anything concerning a meting with the President Ali Abdullah Saleh in Riyadh with Assistant of the US President for Counterterrorism John Brennan, as has been reported by some media outlets.
